Do’s and Don’ts of putting on a condom

Do’s and Don’ts of putting on a condom

So you just had sex and need to throw away the condom. Only problem is, you’re not really sure what’s the best way to do this.

First off - DON’T hang up your condoms to dry to later reuse them. They are good for a one time use only!

So even if it looks nice… don’t!

Also, try to avoid hiding the condom somewhere in your clothes.

The sneaky condom can peak out for the world to see and cause some embarrassing moments.

But seriously - DON’T throw away condoms in the toilet. It’ll clog up and you’ll have to call the plumber and it might get awkward.

Instead, DO wrap the used condom in some toilet paper and throw it in the trash can.

And voila! Disposing of a condom is that easy.

Anonymous asked: hi, I was wondering if precum could cause pregnancy & if so, is it too late to take birth control or anything else to stop the pregnancy before it begins? Me & my boyfriend had unprotected sex (I know very stupid) a week ago, & i haven't gotten my period yet. My last period came on dec. 31st, but I've always had an irregular period. I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet because I want to wait a week after my missed period to be sure. I'm just worried because i know how irresponsible itwas

Hello! So first thing’s first - it is possible to get pregnant with precum, but the odds are very low. It is still very important to use a birth control method every time a person has sex. And in terms of preventing pregnancy, it seems like it might be too late for emergency contraception, or the “day after pill”. You can take this pill up to 5 days after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. If you want to take a pregnancy test, make sure to take it, the earliest, 2 weeks after having unprotected sex so you can get accurate results :)

Anonymous asked: Hello! I am a San ysidro high school student and I have a question. I've have sex a couple times and I have protected myself each time. However I keep getting pms symptoms 3 weeks before my period, is this normal? (I'm also really paranoid, as soon as I read an early pregnancy symptom I start feeling it or experiencing it, could this be just my mind?) What are the chances of me getting pregnant if I have protected myself every time, correctly?

Hello! PMS or Premenstrual Syndrome are symptoms related to your menstrual cycle and they can happen at different times in your cycle. This means that it is possible to get them as soon as 3 weeks before your period. It is also possible for symptoms to appear if you are worried and constantly thinking about them :) if you are using condoms correctly, they are very effective at preventing pregnancy and STIs. If you are still worried about getting pregnant, you can start a birth control method and use it along with condoms. Also, if you missed your period you should take a pregnancy test. You can get all of this for free at Teen Clinic and many other clinics in the area. Hope this helps!
